WAR-Primeval-SE
With UT3 Patch V1.3 released, WAR-Primeval-SE has been rebuilt, tested, and finalized.

The observation booths (you teleport to them from near the core) are not meant for sniper shooting. Just a place to pickup a sniper rifle. Sniper platforms are available from link setups Insanity and Linear.

Link setups
Default - As close to ONS style as possible
Alternate - UT3 Primeval with Spider Mines
Insanity - Includes Dark Walkers and Sniper Platforms but no Spider Mines
Linear - Linear node progression with Sniper Platforms
Orb - UT3 Primeval including the Orb and Spider Mines

o Removed AVRiL's from weapon lockers and added AVRiL pickups.

o Successfully created an RC1 PS3 version with multiple linksetups.
o Added hoverboard boost pad over logs going toward center node.
o Added observation TreeBoxes with a sniper rifle and T5K clan ad.
o Added teleport cameras to see in TreeBoxes before teleporting.
o Removed postprocessing from TreeBox view.
o Added sniper platforms near north and south manta nodes for link setups Insanity and Linear.
o Smoothed rough spots in terrain.
o Moved lamp post at North Darkwalker Node so manta can go over log.
o Added falling leaves emitter at manta nodes.

To do's:
o Minimap final.
o Game tweaks for final release.
o Finalize name of map.
o Name change to WAR-Primeval-T5K

(tank blocking volume and custom speedtrees took the most time to debug).

o Default linksetup is more closely aligned with original UT2004 version.
  No tank barrier to side primary nodes (See "Alt" linksetups).
  No UT3 spider mines (too powerful). Placed BioRifle at core; serves as area denial weapon (e.g., UT2004 spider mines).
o Added physical properties to all custom materials so wood sounds like wood, etc.
o New link Setup "Insanity" added nodes 4 and 5, DarkWalkers, and alternate turrets.
o Lowered blue core hillside slightly.
  This equalizes each side allowing a core attack while on top of the barrier log.
o Removed collision from all basepads underneath the manta and weapon pickups. BlockRB disabled.
  Too often, players got hung on these pads.
o Added costs to bot paths to from core to side primary.
o Allowed terrain dynmaic lights and adjusted each core's energy lighting for appropriate look.
o Bluejay cry now lasts a few seconds with 10 or 30 seconds inbetween. The constant cry was annoying.
o Added much foilage to hill between blue core and side primary.

Known problems:
o Minimap does not look right when changed via F3
o Minimap off center. Will adjust when all linksetups are final.
o Some minor parts of the terrain pop in and out (Epic has a map like this too).
o Frame rates need some work

o Added numerous foilage details
o Added Orb with an Orb only link setup
o Added a second and third DirectionalLight to even out lighting and shadows
o Added a second HeightFog (above the first one) to create a more saturated moist atmosphere
o Added a second SkyLight with only one unnamed channel enabled (to overcome a rock lighting problem)
o Rock wall behind red core corrected
o Added BioRifle with ammo pickups to compensate for spider mines
o Added AVRiL ammo pickups
o Fixed light post lights (they unrealistically radiated light above the lamps)
o Enlarged and tweaked mini map
o Tweaked perimeter rocks, trees, and foilage to align with blocking volumes
o Added the following link setups:
  + FreeTank - Side node unrestricted tank access
  + Linear   - Must traverse all nodes (tank has restricted access)
  + NoMines  - Default linksetup without spider mines
  + Orb      - For Orb lovers

Known problems:
o Minimap does not look right when changed via F3
o Some minor parts of the terrain pop in and out. Some Epic has maps like this too

Changes Made 07-Feb-2008
o Matched scaling to ONS-Primeval. This corrected a problem with the tank too easily attacking the Blue Core
o Added a Red Core only CullDistanceVolume for improved frame rates
o Ported over original blocking volumes
o Ported over original player starts and start locations
o Added more leaves, trees, and dead redwood (horizontal logs)
o Changed lighting and skydome
o Added tank blocking volumes at side nodes. Made foilage there more symetrical
o Detailed the map using DGUnreal's post at Epic Titled "Preparing UT3 maps for publishing and distribution"
o Created a new map-pic
o Created a new mini-map

Known problems:
o Large rock behind Red Core needs a blocking volume
o Some minor parts of the terrain pop in and out. Some Epic made maps do this too
o Blocking volumes from Beta1 need to be added back in where they do not duplicate the Beta2 ones
